Job summary

Yurbban Hospitality Group in Miami South Beach, FL, is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to service hotel facilities and systems. You will perform daily repairs, preventive maintenance, and respond to urgent requests to ensure guest comfort and safety.

The role requires knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, with a proactive, detail‑oriented approach. Flexible hours and on-call availability are expected; maintenance certificates are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel maintenance or similar technical role.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electricity, HVAC and general repairs.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems and perform basic repairs.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals and documents.

Responsibilities

• Check the maintenance list every morning and follow up on pending tasks.
• Complete daily repairs and preventive maintenance in the hotel.
• Repair and maintain plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems.
• Respond quickly to requests from Front Desk, Housekeeping, guest rooms and other departments.
• Find technical problems and solve them with minimum impact on guests and hotel operations.
• Keep rooms, public areas and staff areas safe, clean and in good condition.
• Coordinate maintenance work with other departments.
• Regularly check hotel equipment and facilities to find possible problems.
• Help with renovations, equipment changes, sustainability projects and hotel improvements.
• Keep clear records of repairs, inspections and completed or pending tasks.
• Identify safety risks and solve or report them immediately.
• Support urgent maintenance problems outside normal working hours when necessary.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hotel maintenance, building maintenance or a similar technical role.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electricity, HVAC and general repairs.
• Ability to identify technical problems and complete basic repairs independently.
• Ability to understand technical manuals, instructions and maintenance documents.
• Good organization and ability to prioritize different tasks.
• Proactive, reliable and solution-focused attitude.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Availability to work flexible hours and be on call for emergencies when required.
• Maintenance qualifications or technical certificates will be valued.

Schedule: This position requires fully availability during mornings and afternoons, shift of 8 hours could be arranged between 6:00 am to 12:00 am, weekends required.

Work Location: Miami South Beach, FL.

Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of being stand and lifting 15 pounds or more

Work Authorization: Employee must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

FSLA Classification: Non-exempt
