Job summary

Element Bozeman is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to assist with operation, maintenance, service and repair of equipment and participate in preventative maintenance programs within the hotel.

You will handle guest requests and other work orders, perform trades such as carpentry, painting, plumbing, and ensure safety. A valid driver's license and the ability to drive a shuttle van may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
• Must have an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving Record) property specific.
• Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Kinseth Hospitality standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag (brand standards).
• Comply with Kinseth Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
• Follow all hotel and departmental procedures and policies.
• Report emergencies and unusual situations immediately.
• Handle guest room maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
• Demonstrate cooperation and helpfulness at all times.
• Assist with operation, maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Be friendly, courteous, and helpful to guests, employees and managers.
• Change light bulbs; perform preventative maintenance for guest rooms (vinyl repair, paint touch-up, minor furniture repair, tub caulking, tile repairs).
• Perform preventative maintenance for ice machines, refrigerators, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, HVAC, guestrooms, meeting rooms, pool and spa.
• Perform plumbing repair, laundry equipment repair, and preventative maintenance on exhaust fans; monitor energy conservation; repair vacuums and other small equipment.
• Follow up immediately on alarms to determine location and cause—report to Front Desk with findings.
• Point out and assist with eliminating safety concerns.
• Assist in maintenance of health code requirements for pool and spa.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Licensed in a trade (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.)

Valid driver's license

MVR check acceptable
