Job summary

Generation Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Bozeman, MT to keep mechanical, electrical and electromechanical systems running reliably. The role emphasizes preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving improvements to equipment uptime.

You will read and interpret technical drawings, logs, and schematics, document activities in the CMMS, and coordinate with operations to minimize downtime while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance engineering or maintenance technician role in industrial/manufacturing facilities.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, manuals, and work orders.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, test equipment and diagnostic instruments.
• Familiarity with CMMS or digital work order platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot failures, identify root causes, and implement repairs to restore operations quickly and safely.
• Inspect, test, and calibrate equipment to meet performance, safety, and quality standards.
• Document maintenance activities in CMMS with parts used and time spent.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering to prioritize work and minimize downtime.
• Support safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in installing, commissioning, and starting up new equipment from drawings and manuals.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe maintenance area and contribute to continuous improvement.
