Job summary

SPIRE Hospitality in Selma, AL, seeks an experienced Maintenance Engineer to oversee repair, service, and preventive maintenance of all systems inside and outside the hotel building. You and the engineering team will ensure operations run smoothly and reliably.

The role requires five years of hands-on experience in electrical, painting, plumbing, kitchen equipment, laundry, and HVAC-R trades, OSHA knowledge, and valid licenses.

Qualifications

• Five years of hands-on experience in electrical, painting, plumbing, kitchen equipment, laundry and HVAC-R repairs.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses or permits.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service with warmth and attentiveness to our guests.
• Keep all hotel equipment in top condition and promptly perform repairs.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance under supervision using service work checklists and maintenance protocols.
• Execute all scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment, including servicing, grinding, and adjustments.
• Perform comprehensive walk-around inspections and identify parts requiring repair or replacement.
• Support housekeeping assistance as needed.
