Job summary

Auberge Beach Residences in Fort Lauderdale is seeking an engineer to support all technical operations of our luxury hotel. The role includes troubleshooting and repairing electrical motors, HVAC systems, plumbing, carpentry, and minor automotive repairs while ensuring guest comfort and safety.

Candidates should hold a high school diploma, have hotel engineering experience or similar, be proficient with power tools, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a technician or engineer in a hotel or property management preferred.
• Experience with power tools use and safety.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions on assembly of mechanical equipment, furniture and warning labels.
• Ability to communicate in English with guests, co-workers, and management.
• Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrically run motors and devices.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing systems.
• Perform minor carpentry and painting tasks.
• Use all power tools safely.
• Repair office and audiovisual equipment and devices as needed.
• Respond to guest requests quickly and attentively.
• Respond to emergencies or life-threatening situations.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain logs in the Engineering logbook.
• Maintain knowledge of resort fire, water, septic, and irrigation systems.
