The National, Oklahoma City, part of Coury Hospitality, is hiring a Building Engineer to maintain and repair the hotel’s guest rooms, public spaces, and building systems. You’ll work across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and preventative maintenance while prioritizing urgent requests to minimize guest disruption.

Ideal candidates have hotel facilities maintenance experience, blueprints reading ability, and a safety-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Previous commercial building, hotel, facilities, or property maintenance experience required.
• Strong knowledge of general building maintenance and multiple maintenance trades, including electrical, plumbing, drywall, painting, carpentry, and carpet repair.
• Previous hotel or hospitality engineering experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints preferred.
• Experience operating power tools, hand tools, ladders, and other maintenance equipment.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate motorized vehicles and specialized trade equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required government licenses, certificates, or permits.
• Ability to understand and comply with company policies, safety requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work orders based on urgency and operational needs.
• Must be safety-conscious and committed to following all required safety procedures.
• Ability to maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.

Responsabilités

• Respond to maintenance service calls across the property.
• Perform basic repairs and preventative maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
• Work across electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and other trades.
• Prioritize work orders to minimize guest disruption.
• Inspect machinery and building systems for safety and operation.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with outdoor maintenance tasks, including snow removal when needed.
• Communicate issues and request support as necessary.
• Maintain inventory of tools and materials.
