Job summary

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is seeking a maintenance/engineering professional to support hotel operations within airport facilities. The role involves preventative maintenance in guest areas, assisting with electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, and general equipment repairs.

You will service pool areas, maintain exterior facilities, and respond promptly to guest maintenance requests, requiring strong problem-solving and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English (verbal and written).
• At least two years of engineering/maintenance experience in hotel, hospital, apartment or office building.
• Flexible to work AM, mid-shift, PM, overnight, weekends and holidays.
• Able to use computer or tablet.
• Must be able to lift 25–75 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers preferred.
• Experience in painting, drywall, caulking and carpentry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and assigned hotel areas.
• Assist with electrical system checks and minor repairs or replacements.
• Assist with major repairs of hotel equipment including boilers, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Assist with servicing the pool and maintaining chemical levels and filters.
• Maintain exterior areas: lawn, power washing, salting for ice.
• Respond to guest maintenance calls and resolve issues.

Job Description

• Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and assigned areas of the hotel
• Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacement
• Assist with major repairs of all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen and laundry equipment, boilers, HVAC, hand and power tools and general plumbing systems
• Assist with servicing the pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning/changing filters
• Maintain the building exterior to include lawn care, power washing, spreading salt for icy conditions
• Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance issues in guest rooms and fix the issue
