Job summary

Hyatt Regency Indianapolis is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to ensure smooth operation and upkeep of our property, including guest rooms, front-of-house, back-of-house, and public areas.

This hands-on role requires technical expertise in carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work, with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will handle repairs, preventative maintenance, and accurate records while delivering courteous service.

Qualifications

• 2 years of maintenance, engineering, or related field experience.
• Proficiency in carpentry, painting, plumbing or electrical work.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• Excellent communication with guests and colleagues.
• Flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain hotel buildings and equipment.
• Address and resolve maintenance requests in guest rooms.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems.
• Maintain maintenance logs and records.
