Job summary

The InterContinental Indianapolis is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to keep the property's facilities in peak condition, troubleshoot issues, and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff. This hands-on role values practical problem-solving and pride in building appearance and guest experience.

You’ll bring at least two years of maintenance or repair work, a high school diploma or vocational training, and working knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Two years of maintenance or repair experience.
• High school diploma or related vocational training.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrics and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Must be on your feet most of the day and physically able to bend and kneel.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.

Responsibilities

• Repairing, replacing and refurbishing items around the hotel.
• Maintaining safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside of the hotel.
• Following the preventative maintenance calendar and seeking ways to improve guest experiences.
• Keeping supervisor informed about supply levels.
• Willing to take on extra duties as needed.
