Job summary

Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa is seeking a General Maintenance Engineer to keep our hotel safe, comfortable, and welcoming. You will handle general maintenance tasks across guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas, with emphasis on mechanical and electrical systems.

The role requires at least one year of building maintenance experience; hospitality experience is a plus. You will communicate clearly with guests and colleagues, deliver quality service, and work flexible shifts

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of building maintenance experience.
• Previous hotel or hospitality maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing kitchen and laundry equipment.
• Ability to perform general repairs and entry-level preventative maintenance.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, courteous, and guest-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and support the hotel’s operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front-of-house areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment.
• Communicate effectively with guests and colleagues; provide responsive service.
• Support safety and preventative maintenance programs.
• Work weekends, holidays, and other shifts as needed.
