Job summary

Westmont Group in El Paso, TX seeks a Maintenance Technician to service hotel mechanical/electrical systems and the grounds, pool, and FF&E. The role involves preventative maintenance and responsive repairs across a 24/7 operation.

The position requires knowledge of HVAC, electrical, carpentry, plumbing and related trades, with emphasis on safety and guest experience. Weekend shifts and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Knowledge of maintenance trades including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment.
• Must be able to recognize potential safety hazards and security problems in the hotel.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventative maintenance assignments on a schedule basis (e.g., room care).
• Services the hotel’s pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning filters; completing maintenance request forms and record logs.
• Maintains the building exterior and curb appeal (lawn care, painting, and gardening).
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Follows safety and security procedures and rules.
• Reports unsafe conditions to supervisor.
• Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to supervisor.
• Assist other Engineering Personnel when needed.
• Perform related duties as requested by supervisor/manager.
