Westin in Wilmington, DE is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform a broad range of facilities maintenance tasks across hotel systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building services. The role emphasizes quick repairs, proactive problem solving, and hands-on upkeep of guest rooms and public areas.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent with at least one year of relevant trade experience, basic tools proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hotel

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus at least 1 year of trade-related training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing or building maintenance.
• Basic hand and power tools knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team and stay calm under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Make repairs to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other equipment with minimal downtime.
• Install and replace light fixtures and bulbs.
• Conduct scheduled inspections and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure chemicals and hazardous materials are stored and reported properly.
• Secure the building and maintain access control, including security systems and keys.
