Job summary

Renaissance Allentown is seeking a Hotel Maintenance Engineer to manage preventative maintenance and repairs across the property's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This full-time, on-site role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to keep the hotel running smoothly.

You will document repairs, coordinate with the Chief Engineer, ensure safety compliance, and deliver reliable service to guests and staff while upholding Marriott standards at the Allentown

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance, engineering, or related field; hospitality experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Basic carpentry, painting, and general repair skills.
• Familiarity with safety codes and regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC).
• Troubleshoot and address issues promptly, including guestroom and public areas maintenance.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and keep records.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and Marriott standards.
• Provide excellent customer service during maintenance calls.
• Document repairs and maintenance activities and report major needs to the Chief Engineer.
