Job summary

Aloft Charlotte City Center is hiring a full-time Maintenance Engineer in Charlotte, NC. The role requires AM/PM shifts, weekday/weekend availability, and offers a $750 sign-on bonus. Daily pay option available after shifts.

Maintain safety and operation of the facility, including guest rooms, public spaces and heart-of-the-house areas. Responsibilities include repairing equipment, plumbing, electrical items, programming TVs, performing preventative maintenance, and maintaining the building

Qualifications

Previous hotel, building or property engineering/maintenance experience is required.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to work any hours/days during the week and weekends.
Must be able to complete required safety classes that pertain to specific job duties.

Responsibilities

Responds to guest calls and hotel staff reports of non-functioning equipment promptly.
Troubleshoot and perform basic repair on equipment, plumbing, electrical and guestroom items.
Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
Program TVs and perform other engineering-related duties.
Assist with surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair and cleaning of repair areas.
Perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel, interior and exterior.
Maintain exterior of building and grounds as necessary.
Demonstrates familiarity with life safety systems and takes corrective action on issues.
Reports hazards or injuries in the department or hotel and takes action to correct.
