Job Description

A qualified Maintenance Technician must possess field experience; knowledge of Hampton Inn is helpful. The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and able to work independently or in a team environment with excellent time management skills.

The technician is responsible for all aspects of maintenance at the hotel, including but not limited to:

• Basic repairs on a daily basis (e.g., troubleshooting, plumbing, carpentry, locks, HVAC, pool, drywall repair, appliances, electrical)
• Assisting property managers, owners, and guests as needed
• Recording and submitting completed work orders to the lead maintenance technician at the end of each workday
• Proper documentation on all work orders, especially if additional follow-up is required
• Performing additional duties as assigned by property managers
• Other tasks or requests that support company objectives

Skills Required:

• Extensive field experience in multiple maintenance areas
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation:

$15 - $17 hourly

Responsibilities:

• Assist other technicians and engineers with maintenance tasks collaboratively
• Utilize a variety of tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, indicators, drills, wrenches, etc.
• Remain on-call for emergencies by keeping a phone accessible
• Follow all safety rules and regulations
• Maintain and perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer software, preferably facilities management software
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
• 2-4 years of experience in a maintenance role
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more
