Job summary

Quorum Hospitality is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for Staybridge Suites Savannah Historic District. You will handle maintenance requests, perform preventative maintenance, and conduct regular property checks to ensure rooms, meeting spaces, equipment, and furnishings remain in optimal condition.

A strong focus on guest satisfaction and safety guides daily activities. The role requires prior hotel maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and preferred trade licenses.

Qualifications

• Past engineering or maintenance experience in a hotel or similar setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Trade license (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.) preferred.
• Flexible availability.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Handle maintenance requests quickly to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Follow procedures and report emergencies or unusual situations immediately.
• Perform preventative maintenance (carpentry, painting, plumbing, minor repairs).
• Conduct regular property walks to identify and address issues.
• Follow up on alarms and safety concerns promptly.
• Assist with pool/spa health code compliance.
• Assist housekeeping with room preparation and sanitation tasks as needed.
• Set up meetings and support other duties as assigned.

Your role is crucial in ensuring that our guests have a seamless and memorable stay, and you’ll be celebrated for your dedication and expertise.

Your Role

• Handle maintenance requests swiftly and effectively, ensuring guest satisfaction with timely solutions.
• Follow established procedures and policies diligently and report emergencies or unusual situations immediately.
• Perform a range of preventative maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor repairs, contributing to the hotel's upkeep including guest rooms, meeting rooms, equipment, and furniture.
• Conduct regular property walks to monitor cleanliness and address any maintenance issues promptly.
• Immediately follow up on any alarms or safety concerns.
• Assist in maintenance of health code requirements for pool and spa.
• Regular property walks throughout the day to ensure proper cleaning/sanitation is occurring.
• Assist housekeeping in stripping rooms, carting laundry, sanitizing the gym/fitness center as needed.
• Assist with setting up meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• Prior Engineering experience in a hotel or similar field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensed in a trade preferred (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Flexible availability.
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
