Job summary

North Point Hospitality is seeking a dedicated team member to assist in the Engineering Department at the AC Hotel by Marriott Savannah Historic District. This role includes overseeing maintenance operations, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting various hotel systems.

Qualifications

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing the daily operations of the Engineering Department
• Perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, systems, and facilities
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems
• Complete work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Assist with assigning and prioritizing maintenance tasks for Engineering team members
• Monitor property conditions and identify repair or replacement needs

What we're looking for:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance, facilities, engineering, or hotel maintenance experience preferred
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance
• Pool Certification (CPO) preferred but not required
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve maintenance-related issues independently
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work orders
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical work including standing, walking, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling
