Job summary

Buffalo Lodging Associates is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for the Hampton Inn Ellenton/Bradenton in Florida. You will perform basic repair work, painting, plumbing and electrical tasks, plus pool operations and grounds upkeep to maintain a safe, clean property.

The role requires 2+ years of hotel maintenance experience, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and a valid driver’s license. Various shifts available with weekend/holiday coverage.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or related field.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry and pull up to 75 lbs.
• Requires reaching overhead, climbing, crouching and twisting.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, and general maintenance.
• Maintain fixtures and equipment per preventive maintenance schedule and log records.
• Service pool and spa areas, perform testing and recordings per regulations.
• Clean interior spaces, sweep, mop, remove trash, and keep parking and storage areas tidy.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Team! You will find our Hampton Inn, just off I-75 in Ellenton. A short walk from Ellenton Premium Outlets and dining options. With 115 beautifully appointed guest rooms, we’re within seven miles of Parrish and downtown Bradenton’s dining, entertainment, and Riverwalk. Responsibilities

• Major duties include basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, pool operations, preventative maintenance, and indoor and outdoor grounds upkeep.
• Maintains all fixtures and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and records such maintenance in log books as required by Buffalo Lodging and hotel brand.
• Maintains and services pool and spa areas including testing and recording as stated by the state and local regulations.
• Cleans internal areas of buildings including sweeping, mopping and removing garbage from building. Maintains cleanliness of public and storage areas as well as the parking lot.

Various shifts available but will need flexibility to cover Holidays and Weekends.
