Buffalo Lodging Associates is seeking a Maintenance Assistant at Hampton Inn Ellenton/Bradenton. The role involves basic repairs, painting, plumbing and electrical work, pool operations, and preventative maintenance to support a 115-room hotel.

The candidate should have 2+ years of hotel maintenance experience, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing, with physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or related field.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry and pull up to 75 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, pool operations, preventative maintenance, and grounds upkeep.
• Maintains fixtures and equipment per preventative maintenance schedule and logs.
• Maintains and services pool and spa areas per state/local regulations.
• Cleans interior spaces and maintains cleanliness of public and storage areas and parking lot.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Team! You will find our Hampton Inn, just off I-75 in Ellenton. A short walk from Ellenton Premium Outlets and dining options. With 115 beautifully appointed guest rooms, we’re within seven miles of Parrish and downtown Bradenton’s dining, entertainment, and Riverwalk. Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach, and Sarasota are all within 20 miles. Our guests enjoy free hot complimentary breakfast daily, and friendly and exceptional service from our team. The Hampton Inn is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award‑winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates.

The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for the upkeep of the hotel property, assisting the Chief Engineer.

Role

• Major duties include basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, pool operations, preventative maintenance, and indoor and outdoor grounds upkeep.
• Maintains all fixtures and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and records such maintenance in log books as required by Buffalo Lodging and hotel brand.
• Maintains and services pool and spa areas including testing and recording as stated by the state and local regulations.
• Cleans internal areas of buildings including sweeping, mopping and removing garbage from building. Maintains cleanliness of public and storage areas as well as the parking lot.

Various shifts available but will need flexibility to cover Holidays and Weekends.

What You Bring

At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or a related field. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required. Must be able to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry and pull up to 75 lbs. Requires reaching overhead, climbing, crouching, and twisting. Valid drivers license required.
