Fairfield Inn Clearwater is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our Maintenance Team in Clearwater, FL. This part-time position requires evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM and weekend availability.

Responsibilities include basic repair work, painting, plumbing, electrical tasks, and general upkeep of the hotel property, under direction of the Chief Engineer.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or related field.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required.
• Must be able to bend, kneel, lift up to 75 lbs and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair hotel facilities, including painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, and general upkeep.
• Maintain and service pool and spa areas as required and record tests per regulations.
• Clean internal areas, hallways, and storage areas; manage logs for maintenance tasks.

We are currently looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Maintenance Team. Our Fairfield Inn is conveniently located 8 miles from Clearwater Beach. With 127 newly renovated rooms, our guests experience the perfect blend of comfort and style. We are close to Tampa International Airport, Ruth Eckerd Hall and Spectrum Field. A complimentary breakfast, including eggs, breakfast sandwiches, fruit and more, is offered daily to our guests. The Fairfield Inn is one of the 50 hotel properties owned and managed by the award-winning hotel management company, Buffalo Lodging Associates.

The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for the upkeep of the hotel property, assisting the Chief Engineer.

This is a Part-Time Opportunity - working evening shifts and weekend availability needed. 3:00-11:00PM.

Role

• Major duties include basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work, pool operations, preventative maintenance, and indoor and outdoor grounds upkeep.
• Maintains all fixtures and equipment according to the preventative maintenance schedule and records such maintenance in log books as required by BLA and hotel brand.
• Maintains and services pool and spa areas including testing and recording as stated by the state and local regulations.
• Cleans internal areas of buildings including sweeping, mopping and removing garbage from building. Maintains cleanliness of public and storage areas as well as the parking lot.

Typical shifts would be: Saturday and Sunday 3:00-11:00PM

What You Bring

At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or a related field. HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required. Must be able to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry and pull up to 75 lbs. Requires reaching overhead, climbing, crouching, and twisting. Valid drivers license required.
