Job Duties & Functions:

• Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase.
• Present menus, answer questions, and take food and beverage orders from guests and/or serving staff.
• Prepare drink orders including wine, liquor, and beer.
• Prepare appetizers and food items according to recipes and standards.
• Monitor seating in lounge/bar area ensuring all guests are served.
• Compute bills and accept payments; track and balance sales receipts.
• Limit problems related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as discontinuing alcohol service and notifying management.
• Clean bars, work areas, tables, glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
• Maintain the kitchen and lounge station by keeping areas tidy; clean and stock at the end of each shift.
• Plan, organize, and control lounge/bar operations.
• Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks.
• Arrange bottles and glasses for attractive displays.
• Create drink recipes.
• Inventory liquor, food, supplies, and equipment weekly; order supplies as needed.
• Maintain temperature logs and waste logs daily.
• Examine foodstuffs and supplies to ensure quality and standards.
• Report tips properly for tax processing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
