Job summary

Sheraton Anchorage Hotel & Spa in downtown Anchorage is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. You will prepare menu items following recipes, maintain station sanitation, and support the Sous Chef in daily prep and service.

The role requires ability to work all stations, strong team spirit, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays to ensure guests have memorable dining experiences.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a Line Cook at a hotel/resort or restaurant.
• Ability to work all stations on the line.
• High work ethic and self-initiative.
• May be required to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all menu items following recipes and yield guides.
• Directs, trains, and monitors performance of Line Cooks; maintain organization, cleanliness, and sanitation.
• Prepare and assign production and prep work for Line Cooks; review priorities.
• Communicate changes to assignments during the shift.
• Set up work stations with mis en place, tools, equipment and supplies; break down work stations and complete closing duties.
• Inform the Sous Chef of supplies that need to be requisitioned for the day’s tasks.
