Job summary

Spire Hospitality, LLC is seeking a Line Cook to join our Food & Beverage – Culinary team in New York. You will prepare dishes to standard specifications and ensure proper storage, portion control, and waste reduction to deliver memorable guest experiences.

The role requires at least 1 year of hotel cooking experience and a preference for culinary training; a Managers Food Handlers Certification is a plus. We offer an hourly wage of $20.00–$22.00 with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred.
• Minimum 1 year cook experience in hotel.
• Minimum 1 year cook experience in a similar role, size of operation preferred.
• Managers Food Handlers Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Crafts dishes according to standard recipes or guest specifications.
• Ensures meticulous product storage and precise portion control for each dish.
• Minimizes spoilage and waste through effective product rotation.
• Monitors food, produce, and cooking supply levels to facilitate timely reordering.
• Maintains impeccable cleanliness and functionality of refrigeration, storage, and work areas.
