Overview

The House Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, ironing, folding, and distributing linens, towels, napkins, and tablecloths.

Responsibilities

• Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees at all times.
• Understand operation of washing machines and dryers.
• Load and unload washes according to standards.
• Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc.
• Sort linens by type, color, size, etc.
• Pre-treat stained linen before washing.
• Clean dryer filters daily and maintain equipment as trained.
• Operate iron properly and ensure it is shut off at the end of the day.
• Sweep and mop laundry floors, storing linens off the floor.
• Fold towels and linens.
• Remove and sort dirty linens from laundry carts.
• Keep laundry carts and work area clean and debris-free.
• Sort and load clean laundry onto carts.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work long hours when required.
• Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
• Maintain regular attendance per hotel standards.
• High standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
• Adherence to safety and operational regulations.
