Overview

The House Laundry Attendant is responsible for washing, ironing, folding, and distributing all soiled linens, towels, napkins, and tablecloths.

Responsibilities

1. Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests, managers, and fellow employees at all times.
2. Understand the operation of washing machines and dryers.
3. Load and unload washes according to standards.
4. Wash and dry all dirty linens, towels, rags, etc.
5. Sort all hotel linen by type, color, size, etc.
6. Pre-treat stained linen before washing.
7. Clean dryer filters daily and maintain equipment as trained.
8. Operate irons according to standards and ensure they are turned off at the end of the shift.
9. Sweep and mop laundry floors, storing linens off the floor.
10. Fold towels and linens.
11. Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts.
12. Keep laundry carts clean and free of debris.
13. Maintain a clean work area.
14. Sort clean laundry according to type and load carts.
15. Ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

1. Flexible schedule; long hours may be required.
2. Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and 20 pounds frequently.
3. Ability to stand for the entire shift.
4. Maintain regular attendance as per hotel standards.
5. Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and nametag.
6. Comply with hotel standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations.
