Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation, Inc. seeks a Hotel Laundry Attendant for its on-site operation in Kotzebue, Alaska. This role processes soiled linen daily, ensuring timely washing, drying, and folding to support hotel housekeeping teams.

Responsibilities include sorting, loading, drying, folding, and transporting linen, while maintaining a clean, organized laundry space. English fluency and a HS diploma are required or preferred, with hospitality experience valued.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Preference given to candidates with at least six months of hospitality, hospital, or contract cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
• Sort, weigh, and load linen into washer and dryer.
• Safely operate various washers and dryers and maintain productivity standards.
• Remove linen immediately from dryers and fold according to standards.
• Place folded linen on marked shelves and transport to floor linen rooms promptly.
• Check washing machine drains to prevent clogging and inform engineering if maintenance is needed.
• Maintain a well-organized laundry room; damp mop floors and clean machines daily.
• Empty all washers and dryers and turn off machines at end of shift.
• Wear the proper uniform as specified in the associate handbook.
• Assist with housekeeping as needed.

The Hotel Laundry Attendant is responsible for the processing of soiled linen on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.
• Sort, weigh, and load linen (terry, sheets, and pillowcases, etc.) into washer and dryer.
• Safely operate various washers and dryers. Maintain productivity standards.
• Remove linen immediately from dryers to prevent wrinkles. Fold linen according to standards outlined.
• Place folded linen on marked shelves and transport to floor linen rooms in a timely fashion.
• Check washing machine drains to prevent clogging. Inform engineering if maintenance is needed.
• Maintain a well-organized, neat laundry room. Damp mop laundry floor, clean washers and dryers, clean lint traps on a daily basis.
• Empty all washers and dryers and turn all machines off at completion of shift.
• Wear proper uniform at all times as specified in associate handbook.
• Assist with Housekeeping as needed.
• Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to those candidates with at least six (6) months experience in the hospitality industry, hospital and/or contract cleaning.
