Job summary

Crowne Plaza Springfield - Convention CTR is seeking a Laundry Attendant to ensure efficient retrieval, processing, and distribution of laundry for guests. The role involves operating washers/dryers, folding, stocking, and maintaining clean work areas around the clock operations.

This position requires lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for long periods, and following safety procedures. No prior experience is required; on-the-job training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Sort stained/damaged items and determine status for rewash or discard.
• Operate ironing and folding machines and process cleaned articles.
• Fold cleaned articles and stack into designated amounts by type and size.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer filters.
• Follow OSHA chemical handling guidelines and hotel requirements.
• Check the working condition and cleanliness of laundry machinery.
• Monitor usage of chemicals and water to maximize efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
• Restock work areas for next shift.
• Turn in lost and found items and guest keys.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
