Job summary

Cherry Valley Hotel in Bangor, ME is seeking a Kitchen Steward to maintain cleanliness of all dishware, cookware and kitchen areas, ensuring a safe and inviting environment for guests and staff.

You will wash by hand and/or operate the dish machine, perform routine deep cleaning tasks, and follow safety procedures to support smooth kitchen operations under variable temperatures and noise levels. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• Prior hotel and dishwashing experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb occasionally and up to 20 lb frequently.

Responsibilities

• Be a Details Person – ensure cleanliness of dishware, service ware, cookware and related items, and operate the dish machine when needed.
• Understand Clean and Sanitary – keep ovens, floors, walls, walk-ins, vents and related areas clean and sanitary; perform deep cleaning as required.
• Be a Safety & Security Agent – follow safety policies and OSHA guidelines, report issues to maintenance or security.
