Job summary

HRI Properties in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Dishwasher/Steward to support kitchen operations during busy periods. You will clean, transport and store dishes and maintain sanitation across kitchen areas.

The role requires ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, while following safety and chemical handling guidelines to ensure compliance and a clean, efficient kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Six months experience as a dishwasher, utility or steward.
• Knowledge of safe chemical and equipment handling required.
• Able to work with little supervision and operate equipment such as dishwasher, sprayer, and kitchen gear.

Responsibilities

• Sort soiled wares and run through dish/pot machines correctly.
• Wash and replace ware in storage areas promptly.
• Maintain dish areas and ensure washing machines operate properly.
• Understand dish machine maintenance for optimal use.
• Clean and dry floors to prevent slips.
• Organize and manage trash areas, cafeteria, and deliveries.
• Maintain sanitation laws and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Polish silver as needed and label/store deliveries.
• Separate garbage/recycling and report shortages to supervisor.
• Set up workstation with supplies and report shortages.
