Job summary

The Aloft Charlotte City Center in Uptown Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time Cook to prepare and serve high-quality food. Flexibility to work AM or PM shifts, with weekday and weekend availability required, is essential. A $250 sign-on bonus is offered and daily pay is available after each shift.

Primary duties include prep, cooking, quality checks, and proper garnish, with emphasis on safety and teamwork. High school diploma desired; culinary school is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook with basic kitchen safety knowledge.
• Ability to work AM/PM shifts with weekday/weekend availability.
• Desireable culinary training or schooling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fresh ingredients per recipes/menu.
• Cook and plate top-quality menu items promptly.
• Test foods for proper preparation and temperature.
• Plating and garnishing in accordance with menu specs.
• Check coolers/storage for cleanliness and quality.
• Care for ranges, ovens, fryers, and kitchen utensils.
