Job summary

Millennium Hotels & Resorts seeks an Internal Control Consultant (Independent Contractor) to strengthen internal controls, risk management, and audit readiness across its U.S. hotel portfolio.

This role requires independent work, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on remediation and improvement across multiple properties. You will document controls, perform testing, coordinate with Internal Audit, and drive remediation while partnering with Finance, IT, HR, Legal, and hotel leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal controls, internal audit, risk management, accounting, or finance operations.
• Hospitality, multi-property environment preferred.
• Proven for documenting processes, controls, risk assessments.
• Experience managing audit requests and remediation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to identify root causes.

Responsibilities

• Document, review, and maintain key financial and operational controls across U.S. hotels.
• Design and implement scalable controls to address gaps and regulatory requirements.
• Perform regular control testing and risk assessments across hotel locations.
• Maintain a U.S. risk register with mitigations tracked to closure.
• Coordinate Internal Audit requests and remediation activities.
• Lead remediation of Internal Audit findings and report status to leadership.
• Share best practices and promote consistent controls across regions.
• Travel to hotel locations as needed.
