Job summary

Millennium Hotels & Resorts in Denver seeks an Internal Control Consultant (Independent Contractor) to strengthen internal controls, risk management, and audit readiness across the U.S. hotel portfolio.

This 8–12 month assignment may extend based on business needs, with testing, remediation, and coordination with Internal Audit and regional teams. You will collaborate with Finance, Operations, IT, HR, Legal, and hotel leadership to identify gaps, implement scalable controls, and promote

Qualifications

• Proven experience in internal controls, internal audit, risk management, or finance operations.
• Hospitality industry experience in multi-property settings preferred.
• Strong analytical, process documentation, and remediation leadership.

Responsibilities

• Document, review, and maintain key financial and operational controls across U.S. hotel operations.
• Design and implement practical, scalable controls to address gaps and regulatory requirements.
• Perform regular control testing, spot checks, and risk assessments across hotel locations.
• Maintain and monitor a U.S. risk register with remediation actions.
• Review control self-assessment checklists and follow up on gaps.
