Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a Senior Staff Auditor to plan and conduct internal control audits, evaluating design and operating effectiveness across financial, operational, and compliance areas.

The role requires 5+ years in internal auditing (hospitality or retail preferred), a related bachelor's degree, and potential IIA certification. Located at the North America Support Center in Bethesda, MD with up to 30% travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in internal auditing or related field.
• Hospitality, F&B and/or Retail experience preferred (3–5 years).
• Bachelor's degree required; IIA or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and complete internal control audits focusing on design and operating effectiveness.
• Prepare audit workpapers, narratives, flowcharts, and risk matrices.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management in clear reports.
