Job summary

The Holiday Inn Houma is seeking a Maintenance Engineer Level 1 to monitor, maintain and execute the hotel's preventive maintenance program for HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems. The role aims to keep equipment and the property in excellent condition with minimal guest disruption.

Responsibilities include performing repairs on air-conditioning systems, reading blueprints, maintaining maintenance records and ensuring compliance with safety standards and codes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years related experience.
• At least 3 years HVAC mechanic experience in a complex facility.
• HVAC license and/or refrigerant handling certification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain hotel HVAC systems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Make repairs to air-conditioning systems; replace filters.
• Take readings and test cooling towers.
• Repair pumps and plumbing.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
• Communicate effectively with guests and staff.
