Job summary

Texas Hotel Management is seeking a Hotel Houseperson to support the housekeeping department by keeping guest rooms, hallways, and public areas clean and organized. You will assist with room preparation, linen distribution, trash removal, and related duties to ensure a comfortable stay for guests.

Responsibilities include delivering linens, collecting dirty items, assisting with room cleaning, restocking carts, and reporting safety issues.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel or housekeeping experience is preferred but may not be required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, and/or overnight shifts.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clean linens, towels, and housekeeping supplies to guest rooms.
• Collect and transport dirty linens, towels, and trash.
• Assist Housekeepers with cleaning and preparing guest rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, elevators, corridors, stairways, and other common areas.
• Restock housekeeping carts, supply rooms, and linen closets.
• Move furniture, mattresses, rollaway beds, and other hotel equipment as needed.
• Respond promptly to housekeeping requests from guests and hotel staff.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
• Assist with deep-cleaning projects and special housekeeping assignments.
• Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and guest-service standards.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
