Job summary

Homewood Suites Arlington is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to oversee the department, coach staff, and ensure a clean, safe guest environment. You will manage schedules, inventories, and vendor relationships while maintaining high standards of service.

The role requires 3+ years of supervisory hotel experience or a relevant degree, proficiency with MS Word and Excel, and strong communication skills. It is an hourly, full-time position at the Homewood Suites Arlington property.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field; or a 4-year college degree with 1 year related experience; or a 2-year college degree with 2+ years related experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Must be proficient with MS Word and MS Excel.
• Long hours sometimes required.
• Must communicate effectively with all levels of staff and guests.
• Must multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline all Housekeeping personnel according to SOPs.
• Establish and maintain a regularly scheduled cleaning program and detailed checklists.
• Maintain and control all housekeeping equipment and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with risk management standards and safety procedures.
• Prepare and conduct Housekeeping interviews and follow hiring procedures.
