Job summary

Kana Hotel Group in Louisville, KY is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain clean, welcoming guest rooms and public areas. You will clean hallways, restrooms, and support spaces, restock supplies, and ensure safety and cleanliness across the property.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, prior housekeeping or customer service experience, strong attention to detail, and availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Attention to detail.
• Previous customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Cleans hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms and other work areas.
• Strip linens from guest rooms and may assist with cleaning guest room.
• Abides by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals.
• Moves/arranges furniture and dusts/polishes furniture, metalwork and equipment.
• Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors, using brooms and mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
• Collects soiled linens for laundering and receives and stores linen supplies in linen closet.
• Cleans all public bathrooms and replenishes with supplies.
• Refurnishes room with supplies, towels etc. as required.
• Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
• Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
