Job summary

Cloudland at McLemore Resort is seeking an experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead all housekeeping activities for the hotel, ensuring the highest cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction while protecting assets and controlling costs.

You will inspect rooms and public areas, train staff, handle guest concerns, and collaborate with maintenance and front desk to maintain smooth operations. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Rooms Management or a related management position.
• Hotel experience preferred.
• Strong leadership qualities, the ability to motivate staff, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to make effective decisions under pressure and resolve conflicts.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and flexible hours as needed by the business.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Inspections: Regularly inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to ensure they meet cleanliness and safety standards. Document and report any issues or deficiencies to the appropriate department.
• Staff Training and Supervision: Train and supervise housekeeping staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and guest service standards.
• Guest Interaction: Address and resolve guest complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
• Inventory Management: Assist in management of cleaning supplies and maintain inventory levels to ensure all necessary materials are available.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to ensure rooms are ready for guests and to facilitate smooth operations.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular audits and spot checks to ensure quality control and consistency among housekeeping staff.
