Job summary

Hotel Indigo Baltimore Downtown is seeking a part-time housekeeping associate to maintain guest areas and public spaces with a focus on cleanliness and guest comfort in Baltimore.

The role involves cleaning hallways, removing trash, vacuuming, shampooing carpets, cleaning vending areas, dusting fixtures, handling laundry and restocking carts, while supporting a friendly guest experience. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High work ethic and self-initiative.
• May be required to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team that provides great experiences for our Guests.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10–25 pounds as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest hallways/corridors.
• Remove trash from hallway trash cans and carts, and deposit in the dumpster.
• Vacuum hallways, elevators, carpet edges, stairwells and clean elevators; shampoo carpets and mop floors as needed.
• Clean vending areas including ice machines, candy machines, and soda machines.
• Dust light fixtures in hallways, the fire extinguisher boxes, railings, etc.
• Remove soiled linen from housekeeping carts and transport to laundry for cleaning.
• Restock housekeeping carts with clean linen and return clean glasses to service areas.
