Job summary

Tribute Portfolio hotels are seeking a dedicated Houseperson to support daily housekeeping operations. You will assist Room Attendants, strip beds, remove soiled linens, and transport items, while maintaining clean public areas to Marriott standards and delivering exceptional guest service.

You will help with stocking and rotating supplies, responding to requests, and reporting maintenance needs. This role requires physical stamina and a flexible schedule at our California property.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping or hotel operations experience preferred.
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to guest and department requests.
• Assist Room Attendants with daily housekeeping operations for efficient room cleaning.
• Strip beds and remove soiled linens from checkout rooms.
• Remove trash and used amenities from checkout rooms for cleaning.
• Transport soiled linens to designated laundry areas.
• Distribute clean linens, towels, and supplies to floors and carts.
• Maintain inventory of linens, towels, and cleaning supplies.
• Assist with moving furniture and heavy items following safety procedures.
• Deliver guest-requested items and assist with furniture setup in rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of corridors, storage areas, and public spaces.
• Vacuum, mop, and dust designated areas; assist with deep-cleaning projects.
• Identify and report maintenance issues and safety hazards.
