Job summary

Sherman Associates is seeking a Housekeeper for the Aloft Minneapolis location in the Mill District to maintain guest rooms, public spaces and laundry operations to meet brand standards and safety guidelines.

No prior housekeeping experience is required; customer service in hospitality is preferred. Part-time mornings/weekends with a competitive pay and benefits package; must be 18+, able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• No prior housekeeping experience required; Customer service experience in the hospitality industry strongly preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment
• Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance

• Schedule may vary due to the specific needs of the hotel
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, federal, state and local hotel laws regarding health and safety services

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms in accordance with established quality and performance standards to allow a sufficient quantity of vacant and clean guest rooms for sale
• Report, turn in, all lost and found items from guest rooms, and throughout hotel
• Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access and ensuring vacancy before entering
• Replace dirty linens and towels with clean items, make beds and fold towels, and clean bathrooms
• Remove trash, dirty linen, and room service items
• Vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties (e.g., in guest rooms and hallway)
• Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings
• Report/communicate any maintenance needs found in guest rooms while cleaning
• Assist other housekeeping associates in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas
