A leading hotel in Albany is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to maintain room quality and cleanliness, ensuring guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include cleaning, restocking, and assisting with guest laundry while following hotel standards. Ideal candidates will have previous hotel housekeeping experience and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $12 Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental Insurance • Employee discount • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Schedule: • 8-hour shift • Day shift • Holidays • Monday to Friday & Weekends as needed • On call Supplemental Pay: • Tips Responsibilities: Responsible for the cleaning and preparation of rooms for the hotel guests in compliance with the hotel brand standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Clean assigned rooms according to system standards and best methods. • This includes but is not limited to making beds, cleaning bathrooms, and dusting furniture. • Place and restock usable items in the guest room, including paper items, soap, towels, etc., according to hotel standards. • Operate housekeeping equipment in a correct and safe manner. Report any equipment malfunctions to the General Manager and/or the Maintenance department. • Assist with guest laundry completion as required. • Maintain and restock the housekeeping cart each day. • Know hotel emergency procedures and be prepared to carry them out. • Responsible for the proper administration of key control for issued keys or keys left by guests in the room. • Follow the Lost and Found program. • Report immediately to the General Manager any “out of the ordinary” situations in the guests’ room, including parties in the room, unusually dirty rooms or a vacant room when the room is thought to be occupied. • Complete maintenance work orders and deliver them to designated areas in a timely manner. • Accommodate guest special requests courteously and with a sense of priority. • Answer guests’ questions regarding local area facilities and services. • Expected to carry out all reasonable requests by Managers/Supervisors that the associate can perform. The hotel is open 7 days a week; weekends and holidays may be required. Qualifications: Experience: • Hotel Housekeeper: 1 year (Preferred). Compensation: $12 Hourly
