Job Description

A Heavy Duty Porter in a housekeeping department isresponsible for performing a variety of specialty cleaning tasks throughout a property, including deep cleaning, heavy equipment operation, and moving furniture.They also ensure a clean and safe environment for guests, employees, and visitors.

Assures that the common areas of the hotel are clean at all times. Fulfills dispatch calls in a timely manner and reports when completed. Responsible for all deep cleaning requests and the operation and maintenance of all the equipment used to perform cleaning duties.

Position Requirements

• Must have good communication skills and the ability to follow through with assigned duties.
• Must have knowledge of equipment used (hand held radios, flat carts, rider extractor and hand extractor) and ability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment according to policy standards.
