Job summary

Terranea Resorts in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, is seeking a Safety & Security Officer responsible for the overall security of guests and assets and for monitoring patrol areas.

You will patrol the property, respond as first responder to alarms and medical calls, conduct investigations, maintain logs, and communicate pass-on information between shifts. The role emphasizes protecting the guest experience and supporting ongoing training and development within the security team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/AED and first aid certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving history.
• Effective English communication skills.
• Must possess required valid professional credentials as required by state or local regulations.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the property and ensure security of guests and assets.
• Act as first responder to alarms and medical calls; maintain confidentiality.
• Conduct internal investigations and provide objective reports.
• Detect and resolve safety issues; respond to incidents as needed.
• Maintain notes and pass-on information for the next shift.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintain company image and vision statement.
• Participate in ongoing training and personal development of associates.
• Continuously evaluate and improve operations.
