Job summary

High Peaks Resort in Lake Placid, NY is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain hotel grounds including pools, property, parking areas, buildings and equipment, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and functionality. This full-time, on-site role offers an hourly wage of $22.00 and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and hotel employee discounts.

A valid driver's license is required; prior maintenance experience and OSHA safety knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Lifts 50 lbs or more when required.
• Manual dexterity to operate and grasp tools.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Standing and walking up to an 8-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Performs litter and debris clean up around all facilities and properly disposes of refuse items
• Prioritize daily grounds tasks established by supervisor/manager to self and other employees as required
• Snow removal, salting, and maintenance of safe conditions in parking areas and walkways
• Loads and unloads trucks and other conveyances to include moving supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows and/or hand trucks
• Assists with safely moving heavy pieces of machinery and equipment as needed
• Responsible for completing daily work order log documenting inspections, maintenance and repair information, to include work performed, materials used, and hours worked on each assigned work order.
