Job summary

Opal Hotels Group in Wilson, NC, is seeking a General Manager for the Hampton Inn & Suites Wilson I-95. You will lead hotel operations, drive guest satisfaction, and manage financial results to exceed brand standards and community engagement.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record of hotel management, and a willingness to work 50+ hours per week with flexibility. This position reports to the Director of Operations and may involve responsibilities in sales.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher-level education.
• 3 years hotel experience, with preferably 2 years of management experience.
• Must speak fluent English (other languages preferred).

Responsibilities

• Motivate, coach / mentor, and train team members, set goals and hold team members accountable.
• Provide feedback, rewards, and recognition to team members.
• Develop programs and initiatives to increase team engagement aligned with a service philosophy.
• Oversee HR related actions in accordance with rules and policies.
• Aggressively pursue revenue goals, utilize yield management and revenue maximization tools, and prepare and manage the annual budget to attain financial goals.
• Analyze financials to drive revenues, future profitability and maximum return on investment.
• Plan and execute monthly employee gathering.
• Inspect guest rooms and facilities on a daily basis.
