Job summary

Denco Family, Inc is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee daily hotel operations and provide strategic direction at our Los Alamos property. You will lead a diverse workforce, drive profitability, handle guest relations, and act as the reference point for employees and vendors.

Qualifications

• Must be able to represent the hotel to guests and the community.
• Operational knowledge of hotel budget and accounting; sales procedures and personnel development.
• CHA designation preferred.
• Maintain high employee morale and train staff.
• Responsible for hotel equipment, inventory and cost control.
• Ensure revenues and cash handling procedures are followed.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment and stand for long periods.
• Good communication skills; Spanish speaking a plus.
• Team-oriented and committed to excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Promote Company Mission, Vision and Core Values.
• Budget Management—assist in developing operating budgets.
• Sales & Marketing—attract guests and collaborate with convention officers and VIPs.
• Meet and greet convention officers and VIPs; create and implement marketing plans.
• Maintain quality standards for guest rooms, function rooms and public spaces.
• Inspect at least 10 rooms per week and supervise department heads.
• Develop Department Heads and coach staff; ensure compliance with policies.
• Forecast and plan; prepare reports and analyze operations.
• Oversee payroll, cost controls and compliance with safety standards.
