Ascent Hospitality is hiring a seasoned General Manager to lead the Fairfield Inn & Suites Dalton team. You will oversee daily operations, build a high-performing staff, and drive financial results while delivering a welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

• Proven hotel General Manager–level leadership.
• Experience in select-service hotel operations preferred.
• Strong ability to lead teams and achieve financial/operational goals.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, sales, and revenue performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the hotel’s daily operations, financial performance, and guest experience.
• Set clear expectations and provide leadership and development to department leaders and team members.
• Drive revenue, profitability, occupancy, and ADR.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow business and market presence.
• Build relationships with guests, clients, community partners, vendors, and key accounts.
• Partner with Sales and Operations to maximize group, corporate, and local opportunities.
• Monitor guest feedback and champion excellent service.
• Review financial reports, budgets, forecasts, labor costs, and results for improvements.
• Ensure compliance with Marriott standards, policies, safety, and procedures.
• Recruit, retain, recognize, and develop talented team members; foster positive culture.
• Lead hotel meetings, performance reviews, and strategic planning.
• Identify ways to improve efficiency, service, profitability, and engagement.
• Represent Fairfield Inn & Suites Dalton and Ascent Hospitality professionally in local business networks.

What You Will Do

• Lead the hotel’s daily operations, financial performance, and overall guest experience.
• Set clear expectations and provide leadership, coaching, and development to department leaders and hotel team members.
• Drive revenue, profitability, occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and overall hotel performance.
• Develop and execute strategies to grow business, strengthen the hotel’s market presence, and achieve financial goals.
• Build strong relationships with guests, clients, community partners, vendors, and key accounts.
• Partner with Sales and Operations teams to maximize group, corporate, and local market opportunities.
• Monitor guest feedback and satisfaction and champion a consistent commitment to excellent service.
• Review financial reports, budgets, forecasts, labor costs, and operating results to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Marriott brand standards, company policies, safety requirements, and operational procedures.
• Recruit, retain, recognize, and develop talented team members while fostering a positive, engaging hotel culture.
• Lead hotel meetings, performance reviews, operational initiatives, and strategic planning.
• Identify ways to improve efficiency, service, profitability, and team engagement.
• Represent Fairfield Inn & Suites Dalton and Ascent Hospitality professionally in the local business and community network.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience as a Hotel General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or senior hotel operations leader.
• Experience in select-service hotel operations is preferred.
• A demonstrated ability to lead teams and achieve financial and operational goals.
• A strong understanding of hotel operations, guest service, budgeting, sales, and revenue performance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• A passion for developing people and creating a strong hotel culture.
• An organized, accountable, hands‑on, and results‑oriented approach.
• The ability to build strong relationships with team members, guests, ownership, corporate leadership, and community partners.
• Marriott brand experience is preferred.
• A bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, or a related field is preferred.
