Job description

The 130 room Embassy Suites in Brunswick is currently seeking a General Manager to join our team.

The Hotel General Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading the staff to deliver outstanding service.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Ensure high standards of service and guest satisfaction are maintained.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, maintaining a proactive human resources function to ensure team member motivation, training and development, wage/benefit administration and compliance with policies and procedures and labor regulations.
  • Develop the annual budget and make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assets of the company and brand loyalty.Monitor budgets and financial performance.
  • Deliver results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives focused on business revenues, guest and team member satisfaction and effectiveness and efficiencies.
  • Maximize room revenues by anticipating and planning for market shifts; develop and monitor strategic marketing prospects; develops implement and monitor annual business and marketing plans and participate in appropriate national marketing efforts.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in hotel management for a minimum of five years.Field management experience is preferred and a sales background is a plus
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and PC (Windows-based software) skills will be required.
  • Degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred)
