Savara Hospitality Inc. is seeking a seasoned General Manager for a hotel in Blowing Rock, NC. You will be responsible for the total operation of the property, meeting financial objectives, and maintaining standards of service and asset security.

The role requires strong leadership, guest-focused service, and extensive experience in hotel operations and F&B management. The GM will drive profitability while leading a high-energy team, with weekends, nights, and holidays required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years of previous hotel or related management experience.
• Strong leadership and guest-service skills.
• Proficiency with PMS, POS, Windows, Word and Excel.
• Ability to work weekends, nights and holidays.
• Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule.
• Clear driving record.

Responsabilités

• Oversee day-to-day hotel operations across Front Desk, Maintenance, F&B, and Housekeeping.
• Manage financials including payroll, expenses and procurement of supplies.
• Oversee property maintenance, exterior and interior, and asset security.
• Hire and manage team members; set weekly staff schedules.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and address guest concerns promptly.
• Coordinate resources across sister properties.
• Enforce company policies and training documentation.

Savara Hospitality is seeking a seasoned hospitality management professional for a General Manager role in Blowing Rock, NC. The General Manager shall have overall responsibility for successful hotel operations and for meeting or exceeding its financial objectives. The individual will be responsible for directing the total operation of the property and to maintain established cost and quality standards, achieve guest satisfaction goals, and ensure the maintenance and security of the hotel's physical assets.

Core Responsibilities include:

• Management of day-to-day hotel operations, including Front Desk, Maintenance, Food and Beverage, and Housekeeping departments, ensuring exceptional guest experiences
• Financial management and oversight, including optimizing payroll, expenses and procurement of supplies
• Oversight for physical property, including exterior, interior, and all fixtures, furnishings and equipment
• Hiring and management of team members
• Setting weekly staff schedule
• Ensuring all team members know their roles and work efficiently each day
• Oversight of training and training documentation
• Administration and enforcement of company policies and procedures
• Management of all aspects of guest relations to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service and addressing guest concerns promptly
• Coordination and cross-utilization of resources across sister properties
• Other tasks as necessary to ensure successful operations

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a team player who has strong leadership skills, high energy and outstanding customer service skills. Candidates applying for this position must maintain a friendly, positive and professional outlook in a fast-paced environment. Other skills include:

• Ability to communicate across departmental lines (orally and in writing)
• Track record in effectively managing, motivating, developing, and retaining human resources
• Technical awareness of the hotel, its operations, departments and job functions, business, and market
• Sensitivity to guest satisfaction, with a keen attention to exceeding guest expectations
• Ability to maintain elements of profitability in a business environment while creating positive and enthusiastic team
• Proficient with Hotel Property Management Systems, Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel
• Knowledgeable in the use of office machines - i.e., copy machines, fax machines, etc.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with different types of personalities using sound judgment and discretion
• Ability to work under pressure, manage emergency situations, and prioritize projects
• Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule
• Working knowledge of employment, health, safety, and alcoholic beverage laws and regulations to ensure compliance
• Minimum of ten years of previous hotel or related management experience
• Past experience managing banquet and food and beverage operations
• Strong attention to detail, good follow through and communication skills
• Clear driving record
